While Cathy Cox served the Kentucky Council of Churches, much work was accomplished:

Northern Kentucky: This dedicated group of almost 100 people has committed itself to the creation of a grassroots, regional organization with the following mission statement: the mission of Building Hospitable Communities in Northern Kentucky is to unite our energies against racism and to coordinate efforts to promote and practice equality, friendship, unity, and dignity for every human being. BHC in Northern Kentucky is currently working to gather information, develop resources and address concerns through the following task groups: Coordinating Committee, Criminal Justice, Crisis Response, Education, Government and Politics, Media, Religion, and Social Interaction. They held a community forum which included a special showing and discussion of the video "Not in Our Town" which documents how the town of Billings, Montana fought back when racist hate groups came to their town. Rather than turning a blind eye to growing intolerance, the people of Billings joined together to tell the purveyors of hate, "Not in Our Town." Cathy Cox facilitated the discussion of this video during the community forum. The local community is now ready to sustain and continue the work begun through the initiative of the Kentucky Council of Churches on its own.

Owensboro: Work has been done to coordinate community wide study circles on race relations in Owensboro.

Berea: The Berea Ministerial Alliance has been interested in the possibility of collaborating with the Richmond Ministerial Association regarding possible work with local schools around issues of diversity and race relations.
